One person died and four others injured when their small charter plane crashed into a canal in Bangkok on late Monday afternoon.
The Piper PA-31-350 Chieftain aircraft operated by Rabbit Wings Co had reportedly left Nakhon Ratchasima for Suvarnabhumi airport when it went down into the canal near Wat Lam Phra Ong in Lam Pak Chee sub-district at about 4.30pm.
Rescue workers found a body inside the submerged plane and the entire cockpit and part of the cabin came off when they arrived at the scene. Four people who sustained injuries were rescued from the water and sent to Vejkarunrak hospital.
