Crime Doesn’t Pay.. So They Say
On the afternoon of this Monday, four armed men assaulted a lottery house and a market in the district Dona Lica, in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, and were persecuted by a vehicle of the Military Police. The car was hit by several shots. The soldier André José da Silva, 32, who was driving the car, was injured and could not resist. His body was veiled in the morning in the rural area of Santa Maria do Cambucá.
The PM, who was in the passenger seat, Moacir Pereira, 47, was injured, but was able to get out of the vehicle. He was taken to the UPA Santa Cruz do Capibaribe to receive care and then transferred to the Agreste Regional Hospital (HRA), where he recovers. The robbers fled. Their car was found abandoned in Barra de São Miguel, Paraíba.
