Four prisoners were killed during a rebellion inside the Judicial Branch Judge Raimundo Vidal Pessoa, in the center of Manaus, according to the Secretary of Penitentiary Administration of the state, Pedro Florêncio.
The rebellion began around 1:30 am Sunday 8th.
Police of the Special Operations Company (COE), Ostensiva Round Candido Mariano (Rocam), Shock Battalion and Special Force Group of Rescue and Assault (FERA) were fired and managed to control the riot early in the morning.
Three prisoners were beheaded. Mattresses were burned. The Medical Legal Institute (IML) removed the bodies at dawn.
According to information that has not yet been confirmed, detainees demand better conditions inside the prison, which was reactivated a week ago to house members of the criminal faction First Command of the Capital (PCC), after the massacre that left 56 dead in the Anísio Jobim Penitentiary Complex Compaj) and four from the Prison Unit of Puraquequara.
