A man between the ages of 20 and 25 was found beheaded at dawn on Sunday (30), near a Catholic church on 185th Street in the New City neighborhood, north of Manaus. The motivation for crime are still investigated by the Homicide and Kidnapping Office (DEHS).
The body was found around 5:30 a.m., in a forest area of the church. The head was found on the same ground, but in the back. According to police, the suspicion is that the man was killed around 3 o’clock.
The body was bound with feet and hands. No suspects were spotted on the scene. Close to the body the expertise found a machete, a weapon that may have been used to decapitate the man. In addition to being beheaded, the victim also had about ten punctured perforations of the knife, mainly on the chest.
