The young woman from the Philippines was forced to work as a maid in the Middle East because of extreme poverty in her country. Instead of finding greener pastures abroad, she suffered from abuse at the hands of her employer. And all because she dropped a water heater cover.
The victim was attacked by her employer by tipping a pan of boiling hot water over her back. She suffered second-degree burns.
