Car Crash in Heavy Rain
The Federal Highway Police confirmed the identity of the three occupants of the Nissan Frontier truck that was involved in a serious accident km 701 of BR-163 in Sorriso.
It is Valdecir Inácio dos Santos, 58, his son, Márcio Fabiano dos Santos, 35, and his daughter-in-law, Gislaine Aparecida da Silva, 37, all of them living in the interior of the State of Paraná.
According to information provided by the police, the family returned from the municipality of Colíder where they had participated in the wake of Waldemar Guerreiro, father-in-law and grandmother of the victims of the accident.
Minutes before boarding the truck, Guerrero Area, wife of Valdecir Inácio (dead in the accident) decided to remain in the municipality at the request of relatives. The decision taken last minute prevented the death to be even greater.
The driver of the truck was rescued and referred to the Hospital Regional de Sorriso (HRS) complaining of severe pain.
According to the PRF, it was raining heavily at the time of the collision that may have contributed to the tragedy.
